We’re looking for skilled TIG welders to do welding and assembly of stainless steel foodservice equipment.

Description/Job Summary:

  • Weld stainless steel & aluminum to strict tolerances and standards.
  • Work from blueprint & drawings, sketches, schedules and verbal instructions to select suitable welding equipment, holding devices, attachments and help tools required for joining process and make required settings to equipment, gas flows and other parameters to obtain quality welds.
  • Operate equipment to perform the job.
  • Assist in problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Follow workplace safety standards.

Experience & Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years welding experience with stainless steel in accordance with blueprints, welding diagrams and operation sheets.
  • Competency in at least two of the following in all positions: TIG, MIG.
  • Experience with manual and power tools.
  • High school diploma/GED preferred.

Journeyman Electrician

Work Location: Rocky Mount, NC, 159 Fabrication Way

The Combustion Test & Development Engineer is responsible for all activities associated with assigned Combustion Burner Test & Development projects. He/she will conduct tests, accurately compile and analyze recorded data; and recommend additional testing if needed. Implement burner and/or components improvements; present recommendations and conclusions to engineering team.

Description/Job Summary:

  • Install, repair and maintain electrical equipment, including appliances and systems manufactured by Babington.
  • Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams, and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, service, or replace electrical devices and systems.
  • Perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical theory and principles, statutory codes, properties of materials, and principles of operation of electrical equipment.
  • Service equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components, wiring, circuits, printed circuit boards, and similar electronic devices.
  • Analyze and correct electrical problems; repair and overhaul electrical equipment including controls.
  • Knowledge of High Voltage systems
  • Able to train an electrician’s helper and lead others wiring systems.


  • Journeyman Electrician license issued


  • Attention to detail
  • Minimum of five years of recent expertise as a journeyman electrician
  • Vocational school or junior college training in electrical wiring, or satisfactory completion of in-house apprenticeship training.
  • Knowledge of A/C - D/C controls, motors, generators, and switchboards.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and instruments associated with the position
  • Must possess a high degree of precision working with minimum tolerances.
  • Possess a high degree of attention and care required to prevent injury to others when responsible for the flow of electrical power.

Project Manager/Engineering Management

Babington Technology is looking for highly motivated and results-oriented Engineer to lead and direct manufacturing and product development and other projects as directed. The position requires a solid foundation in engineering and manufacturing operations and extensive experience managing complex projects with competing demands.

Other responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing project personnel and the manufacturing skills necessary to accomplish the project at hand.  He/She will accomplish this by keeping track of the skill requirements or the opportunity being pursued in coordination with the Manufacturing Manager.
  • Responsible for ensuring conduct of appropriate design reviews.
  • They will also recommend engineering and design tools that can be planned into proposals to execute jobs more efficiently.
  • The Project Manager is expected to implement project management best practices, provide support and mentoring to the project personnel, helping them plan work, solve difficult problems, and directing them to resources.  The Project Manager will act as a conduit of communications into and out of the group.
