Combustion Test & Development Engineer

The Combustion Test & Development Engineer is responsible for all activities associated with assigned Combustion Burner Test & Development projects. He/she will conduct tests, accurately compile and analyze recorded data; and recommend additional testing if needed. Implement burner and/or components improvements; present recommendations and conclusions to engineering team.

Other responsibilities:

  • Conduct failure analysis, write corrective action reports
  • Document test requirements and write test plans based upon test objectives
  • Apply burner design and operation knowledge to determine tests needed to meet specification requirements
  • Coordinate development activity of assigned projects
  • Initiate and coordinate activities with other departments as needed: Design engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, etc.
  • Monitor and report activity status, schedule, and actual vs. budgeted hours.
  • Provide engineering input to design engineers for changes/improvements

Project Manager/Engineering Management

Babington Technology is looking for highly motivated and results-oriented Engineer to lead and direct manufacturing and product development and other projects as directed. The position requires a solid foundation in engineering and manufacturing operations and extensive experience managing complex projects with competing demands.

Other responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing project personnel and the manufacturing skills necessary to accomplish the project at hand.  He/She will accomplish this by keeping track of the skill requirements or the opportunity being pursued in coordination with the Manufacturing Manager.
  • Responsible for ensuring conduct of appropriate design reviews.
  • They will also recommend engineering and design tools that can be planned into proposals to execute jobs more efficiently.
  • The Project Manager is expected to implement project management best practices, provide support and mentoring to the project personnel, helping them plan work, solve difficult problems, and directing them to resources.  The Project Manager will act as a conduit of communications into and out of the group.

Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated competence in manufacturing processes
  • Demonstrated competence in project management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, etc.) as well as project management tools
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with diverse teams of people

Technical Sales and Customer Support Representative

The Technical Sales Representative is the liaison to sales, marketing, engineering, and the operations teams. The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for successful quote and order management. Interprets customer technical specifications and application requirements, recommends customer solutions around Babington Technology products and services.  Assembles content and prepares working drafts of sales and industry conference presentations. Conduct training for customer and sales personnel. Works under limited supervision and has direct contact with customers over 25% of the time.
